This unique ”artwork”- limited edition notebook is the product of the collaboration of Evangelia Biza, Greek Bookbinder Designer and Book Conservator, and Loula Levedi, visual artist and designer behind the silk scarf brand a Totem für Elita.

It is created by the exposed sewing method, with a hand made binding and belongs to a limited edition of 35 copies. A high quality paper, Conqueror Wove High White 120gr is used and it is ideal for sketching, writing and drawing. The binding in the spine of the book follows harmonically , the lines of the column of the cover, so that a synchronized agreement between the visual and the binding part will emerge.

The inspiration for the cover of the notebook came to life by ”playing” literally and metaphorically . A Totem für Elita illustrations usually re-approach symbols connected with ancient cultures, ancient mythology combined with the modern pop culture in order to create a hybrid visual ground of expression and to result new modern narratives, such as to be relevant to the modern man. New ”impossible encounters” and new visual puns arise to make people contemplate, smile and interact with them.
