Mediterranean

My s/s 2017 collection is inspired from the Venus of Milo and the Mediterranean Sea, which in her turn is inspired from Tetris game, an electronic game i enjoyed  playing during my childhood.  My aim was to highlight the civilization of Greece through the sea and the symbol of Aphrodite of Milos that it is easily connected  to the Greek Culture . My motto for s/s 2017 is the word ”Seavilization”. My kind of mediterranean sea is ”built” by  Tetris bricks , in which  the statue of Venus other time  is falling, and other time emerges through it. Of course there is the appearance of the Sea through the lens of my camera, captured in the magical island of Tinos .Every detail , from the oleander and the dove untill the statue of Aphrodite is made digitally pixel by pixel like a digital sculpture.

* Xeni Kouveli, was my model for this photo shooting. Apart from being a heartfelt friend , she is a fabulous versatile creative professional of web , style and fashion. Awarded digital creator , art director , social media consultant and currently a Μother !!<3 . I met Xeni through her husband, Victoras with whom used to work together for Getty Images in Greece. When i met Victoras , instinctively  loved him,  the same happened pretty much with his wife, although at the begining of our friendship there was a little a bit of ice . But once our friendship rolled,the ice needed only for the drinks we had together! Xeni and i enjoyed many things: from creating together, travelling together, talking about what bothering us inside,  working for her digital child (www.thestylelove.com) and so many more experiences!I feel grateful and lucky to have a friend as my gorgeous Xeni in my life. Apart from  being kind,  delicate,  intelligent, creative , effective and the fact that her uniqueness radiates wherever she stands  ,she has the special power to transform anything she selects to wear into an object of desire and not to a just passing trend!
