”Fresh Rise”

In this particular composition there is an island under the sea, formed by symbols, hybrid creatures , human objects, and emblems of well known civilizations that stands  for another ”Atlantis”, only to imply Peace, Consistency and to remind us NOT to participate in making-creating  garbage  physical  or  emotional.

Nowadays people are hooked on every kind of possessions, living in an increasing consumer’s lifestyle. Sometimes we don’t realize the importance of coming into contact with our real feelings, instead of trying to meet material needs. Of course, it is inevitable not to consume. And to be honest it is fun too, when it is possible and under healthy circumstances. But why not focus on consuming  or at least having appetite to dive into ourselves n’ let fresh things rise and grow  for  a special awaking of mind and body ?…

*Themistoclis Karpodinis, is my model for this photo shoot. I am blessed and lucky enough to be my  cousin. An adorable, generous personality with a magical internal and external world!He is a brilliant Greek actor, singer and musician . He has played in several important theatrical performances and with his creative project-team ”Riza” that means roots in Greek language , he attempts a different reading or interpreatation of traditional and folk  Greek music. This venture includes his magical voice plus simple orchestration and acoustic character – which reflects a range of sound references:from ECM Records records and Mediterranean jazz to field recordings and DJ Shadow.
