The best known achievement of Theseus, one of the most popular mythological heroes in Greece, is the one against the Minotaur. Minotaur was a half human and half Taurus creature ,that the king of Crete , Minos, kept in a labyrinth constructed by Daedalus. Every nine years by king’s demand, seven Athenians girls and boys were sent in this maze in order to be devoured by this anthropomorphous monster. This was happening as a penalty for the loss of Mino’s son in the Athenian war. Theseus could not stand the injustice at the expense of young people and decided to put an end in this horrible event. Decisive and Courageous arrived in Crete to face the Minotaur. Ariadne, the daughter of Minos fell for Theseus and offered him her thread, in order to be able to reach the minotaur and not to be lost in the tortuous path. And so he did! Theseus silently arrived where the Minotaur was resting, found him asleep, took his life and returned home…Besides Ariadne’s help, Theseus stood brave and had the guts to cope with this tremendous creature. Sometimes our ”inside building” can be related to a labyrinth, an internal deadlock can be the same as a tortuous path, puzzling ,confusing and sometimes frightening. However if we reconcile with the difficult inside journey, by improving our self ,the ”freaky” part can disappear!”Do love your Labyrinth and the Minotaur will disappear.”
